Sicily Kitecamp 28.4 – 12.5.2018

Lo Stagnone is located on west coast of Sicily, between Marsa and Trapani. It’s a small place with salt lakes and vineyards. Recent years it has become very popular destination for kitesurfers and there are many kiteschools around. 

Beside being very good kitesurf spot it is also very windy, specially in May. Thanks to colder sea water there are some good thermal winds. But you don’t have to afraid cold, 3mm wetsuit is plenty enough. Air temperature is between 23-30C at that time. In May you can already go out with shorts and t-shirt.

Camp is organised with a local accommodation service provider. We are living in very comfortable apartments called Torre Lupa. It’s only 10min away from our surfspot. Surfspot is provided by local kiteschool and they are really looking forward to meet us.  There is no sandy beaches in Lo Stagnone so you have to be careful where you put your gear up. Kiteschools are providing best places for that and we have one 🙂 

Torre Lupa is a holiday village with apartments. Apartments are equipped with  kitchen, bathroom and everything you need for staying there. It’s not like staying in hotel because here you can cook your meals yourself, if you wish. Accommodation fee depends on how many of you are staying in one apartment.  If you want to save some money, you can stay max 6 people in one apartment. There is also chill area in the garden, pool, barbeque  etc. Shops and restaurants are just walking distance. 

Accomodation fees:

1-2 person/s 61 € / night / apartment

3-4 persons 85 € / night / apartment

5 persons 98 € / night / apartment

6 persons 114 € / night / apartment

Price depends on how many of you stay in one apartment.

Extra fee is for utilities  (cleaning, bedding, gas, electricity and water)

1-2 person/s in apartment 4,50 € / night / apartment

3-4 persons 4 € / night / apartment

5-> persons 3 € / night / apartment

Sample: if there is 6 people in one apartment, nightly cost per face is 22 € and if you saty in 2 persons apartment it is 35 €.

For a week in 6 persons apartment you pay 154 € and in 2 persons apartment 245 €.

There is no shifts in the camp and no set dates. Everybody can come and leave whenever they want. You can book whatever time suits best for you between 28.04-12.05.2018.

We also have to pay for our surfspot. Normal price is 6-8 € person per day. We have deal for 20 € a week.

You can also store your gear at the surfspot. That is 40 € per week. It’s good if you have one car for many people and no room for gear. Your gear is always waiting for you at the spot.

To see around in Lo Stagnone it’s good to rent car or bicycle. Car rent is very cheap and worth it.

You can book your car through us because we have a deal with local rental company. Cars are not newest ones but there is less bureaucracy when renting. 

Car rental prices:

Car 25 € / per day

Bicycle € 10 / day or € 40 / week.

Full insurance for car is 10 € per day, but they don’t make a fuzz about small scratches.

Flights:

There are 3 ways to fly there: Trapani, Palermo and Catania airports.

Trapani is a small airport, just 10min away from Lo Stagnone lagoon. You can find flights there with Ryanair. 

Palermo and Catania airports are bigger and more flight companies fly there. From Palermo to our accommodation is about hour drive. From Catania to our holiday village is a day trip. 

Booking:
